The HIV/AIDS crisis is a global epidemic that affects millions of people in our world. It affects people irrespective of gender, culture, religion and national borders. On average everyday over 8,000 people die from HIV/AIDS. The human consequence of this crisis is unimaginable, and it is poor who bear the brunt of it. In so many cultures, people living with HIV are stigmatized and isolated.
There CIJR works in partnership with other NGOs to advocate on HIV/AIDS issues. We believe in a people-centered response of compassion and mercy. Every individual affected by the virus has inherent dignity and undeniable rights.
