| Professor Doug Hostetter is speaking about how to cultivate an imagination of peace in a world driven by an agenda for war. Doug is a sociology professor, photojournalist, peace activist, and Chief UN Liaison officer (MCC). Doug has lived and worked in Vietnam, Iraq, Bosnia, and Israel/Palestine. In 2001, Doug was half of a two-person relief team that took 239 tons of food to displaced people in Northern Afghanistan after the U.S. bombing campaign. |

| Over two weeks each summer, Youth with a Mission (YWAM) Harpenden, runs an event for 18-35 year olds who are out in the marketplace and in the workplace, being Christians in the professional world. Called Re:engage, the event seeks to refresh the participants, re-ignite their passion and faith; increase their understanding about God’s purpose for the different spheres of society; link them with like-minded peope; and send them back to their working environments with a renewewd determination to make an impact. | |
| Reengage is also a time of learning, sharing and observing how to be a leader in this society, knowing how to be a professional of influence wherever you are. A time of inspiration, refreshment and interaction with people from all around the world, a truly unmissable event! | |

| Come with a Passion…..Leave with a visionIn a world of broken relationships and shattered ideals, Jesus requires strong hands to sow seeds of reconciliation and justice. During this three month school, there will be training with international speakers, researching current issues of conflict, and taking time to seek God’s heart for reconciliation and justice around the world. Then have the option of 2-3 months commitment putting new knowledge into practice in an internship program.The goal is to train and empower others to a life of reconciliation that flows into peacemaking and justice ministries. We also seek to train teams in order to send them to conflict areas with a mission to reduce suffering, aid in development, speak out about injustice and seek to be a part of healing the hearts of wounded people.Course Fees: £1650 – Lecture Phase except InternshipPrerequisite: YWAM Discipleship Training School or Crossroads Discipleship Training graduate |
